About Us

About LittleInch Care Group

LittleInch Care Group is a family-run provider of nursing care for older adults, with two homes in Renfrewshire. We have been caring for people here since 1990. We are not a chain, and we have chosen not to become one.

Our story

LittleInch began with Irvine and Christine Watson. They formed the company in 1988 and opened their first home, in Inchinnan, on 15 January 1990. A second home followed in Erskine in 2005, now Rashielee Care Home.

Two homes, a few miles apart, was a deliberate choice. It is enough to do well, and small enough that the people who live and work with us are known to us by name. More than three decades on, the family is still closely involved in both homes, day to day.

A family business

Irvine spent his working life in civil engineering, as a director of a Glasgow firm and a senior manager at AMEC, and completed an MBA at the University of Glasgow in 1993. Christine trained as a nurse and has shaped the care and the standards at both homes from the beginning.

Their son Andrew is now Managing Director, leading the group with the same intent his parents brought to it. Irvine and Christine remain owners and stay close to both homes. Three generations of the family have now been part of LittleInch.

What we believe

The way we care rests on three promises, the same in both homes:

Safety. A registered nurse is on duty day and night, supported by a skilled team who know each resident well.

Respect. Routines, food choices and privacy come first. People are met as themselves.

Belonging. Friendly faces, activities people genuinely enjoy, and families welcome any day, with open visiting in line with Anne’s Law.

Our homes

Rashielee Care Home, Erskine. 42 ensuite bedrooms. Nursing care, including for people living with dementia. In March 2026 the Care Inspectorate awarded Rashielee Grade 6, Excellent, for how well it supports people’s wellbeing.
